Which countries have 5G?

Countries Where 5G Is on the Way. Since February 2020, the list of 5G network countries has expanded slightly to include CanadaHong Kong, and Thailand. There are several countries with it on the agenda for future development or adoption. In Puerto Rico, for example, wireless provider Claro began testing 5G in 2019.

How is 5G different from 4G?

  •  By 2021 there will be up to 438 million 5G connections.
  • With 5G reaching 10 gigabits per second – up to 100 times faster than 4G – 5G networks can deliver the level of performance needed for an increasingly connected society.
  • Better performance with 5G also means a lower latency rate (the delay between sending and receiving information). For 4G, this is 200 milliseconds, not far off the 250 milliseconds it takes for humans to react to visual stimuli. The 5G latency rate is significantly lower: at just 1 millisecond.
  • So, as consumers look to the future, 5G will be about more than faster mobile internet as it delivers new connectivity levels – and enhanced trust – across a wider ecosystem.
  • 5G also means opportunities and challenges for telecom operators.

5G TECHNOLOGY

 What exactly 5 G ?

5G is the 5th generation mobile network. 5G networks are virtualized and software-driven, and they exploit cloud technologies.  wireless technology is meant to deliver higher multi-Gbps peak data speeds, ultra low latency, more reliability, massive network capacity, increased availability, and a more uniform user experience to more users. Higher performance and improved efficiency empower new user experiences and connects new areas or industries .

The main advantage of the new networks is that they will have greater bandwidth, giving higher download speed, eventually up to 10 gigabits per second (Gbit/s).
